my story

one term has come and gone and i glance over my shoulder to find where the time went. as i take a break for a minute and think to all that has happened upon myself in the last term , i have realised for the first time in my life , i am truly happy at "where im at". its incredible how much my life has changed in such a short time. just 3 months ago , i was accepted into charles sturt university .... it was one of the most amazing times for me , leaving my job at woolworths i packed my bags and set off to begin my life in the course bachelor of arts:television production . yes you heard me right , television production!

after a most drunken O week , we were ready to begin our classes.
it was my first day of classes , when many could say fate intervened ... i accidentally entered a humble little theaterette in the svpa, to sit in on the introductory animation vfx lecture.
as the metaphoric clouds parted and the sun shone through on to my face as a heavenly choir sang in harmony , i realised that this course that i was completely oblivious to , was exactly where i wanted to be!
i listened intently to the rest of the lecture and as soon as the lecturer/course co-ordinater hages :) was set to leave the class , i approached him and attacked him with a barrage of questions, and with a wise guiding hand , and hages' word , i left and signed my papers to change myself in to this wondrous new course i happened upon on my very first day.

being a half blood if you will , half proddie / half animator (though i had not attended any television classes) i took my first brave step , into this very acute and refined group of young minds ready to achieve greatness, as a stranger .
working my way to find my place amongst the group to find my niche of friends.

i worked hours on end each night to produce animations to show to the class in the dailies , and to my own judgement , i think Ive earned my place to belong here:)
after my first term , and many hours in front of my computer , i believe that the pure blood of an animator runs through my veins , and will do so for as long as i live.

i ask my self, what other career can you hand your self a free pass to life, a life where you not only never have to grow up , but are given the opportunity to remain a kid forever ......i believe ive made the right decision
